The 2019 Best School Districts rankings are out. And while you might think it’s just another list of the best schools in Indiana, there’s much more to it than meets the eye. In fact, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure our readers know what makes each of these districts great.

We analyzed over 10 million student review ratings submitted to RateMyTeachers.com, along with hundreds of thousands of parent survey responses collected by GreatSchools.org. We also looked at several different sets of data including ACT and SAT scores, high school dropout rates, and teacher quality.

After crunching all of this information, we came up with a list of the best school districts in the Indianapolis area. These are the districts where kids do well academically, teachers care about their students, and parents feel like their voices matter.
